Zeeland in August
Some impressions of a summer dive in Zeeland, The Netherlands. A true playground for divers, no tropical waters but close to home and fun to explore too.
These shots are a combination of two diving sites. The bordeaux, rather clear views are at the diving spot ‘Den Osse’, a great place at the Southern banks of the Grevelingenmeer. Still saltwater, but without tidal conditions.
The more darker scenes are shot right below the Northern part of the Zeelandbrug (bridge). This was tidal water, but at that time it was neap tide, so very calm and easy diving. We encountered Cuttlefish, (loads of) Seastars, Crabs and Jellyfish. That spider-ish thing on Laure’s hand is a long-legged crab. And to be honest, imagine spotting this in your living room or under your bed … ? But underwater you seem to get away with it. Music track: Meditation by Aylex
